RTMP string on amazon IVS

0

Hello everybody, i'm using IVS for live streaming. On the live stream page of the AWS channel I've got 2 seconds of latency and this is great but When I copy the https playback url in VNC the latency go to 20 seconds so this are my questions:

  • Is it possibile to have an RTMP string instead of the HTTPS?
  • If not, how can I diminish the latency on HTTPS? Do you think that HTTPS protocol could be the problem?

Thank you.

Hi , On increased latency, did you validate (i.e measure that the long latency is not coming from "last mile": i.e exit of IVS to VNC?

Re. RTMP did you envision Elemental Medieconnect to "tunnel" this protocol across AWS network: see https://docs.aws.amazon.com/mediaconnect/latest/ug/protocols.html

For the HLS playback from IVS I assume you used Safari or Edge as the playback player. That is the problem. For the lowest latency you have to use video js optimized for IVS. I worked setting it up for a while and then got distracted. Here is a start. Hope you get it to work.

As i said, NO safari, NO Edge, just putting the https string in VLC have this problem, so, Could you please tell me how to have a RTMP string of the output instead of the https? I bet this is the problem...
