Hello Team,

Greetings!

Thank you for contacting AWS Premium Support.

I understand from the case description that you are are facing issue with domain join of AppStream image builder with below error.

"Notification code->DOMAIN_JOIN_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND", "message->The system cannot find the file specified"

I would like to inform you that this error message occurs when OU defined in directory config is not present inside the AD or OU distinguished name is entered in the incorrect format.

errorCode :DOMAIN_JOIN_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND errorMessage :The system cannot find the file specified

To resolve the issue, follow below steps:

Navigate to "Active Directory Users and Computers" in you Microsoft Active Directory.
Enable "Advance Features" under View.
Select the OU you have created for AppStream. Right Click and Open Properties.
Navigate to "Attribute Editor". Double click "distinguishedName" under it and copy the OU path under value. It will be similar to below example.

Example: OU=AppStream,OU=Lab,DC=Lab,DC=com

Now you can configure this OU in the AppStream directory config and this should help in resolving your issue,

You can also refer to below public doc to understand the cause for different domain join error codes. https://docs.aws.amazon.com/appstream2/latest/developerguide/troubleshooting-notification-codes.html

Thank you and Have a great day ahead. Stay Safe !!
