Hi there, I'm starting out with AWS and looking to backup my files to S3, I started to upload 6 GB and got any email saying Ive over over my free account, can you please advise. Thanks

The S3 free quota is only 5GB so that you will be charged for any usage beyond that. This will be charged based on the payment options you set up when you created your account.
