Slow loading times on AWS console

2

Hello everyone, I have been using AWS console for a while and this is the first time that this problem occurs. I've been using an Acer Nitro laptop to access the console and the loading times were about 5 seconds to load to AWS and about 2 seconds to load to EC2 (with 10mbps connection speed) . Today, it takes about 2 minutes to load to the console and 30 seconds to load into EC2 with the same internet connection speed. Why is that happening?

It's been all week for me on just one machine - totally unusable 45s - 2 min responses or failed responses. It is happening to many people, see https://www.reddit.com/r/aws/comments/wy1bci/aws_login_console_extremely_slow/ this is definitely not related to a particular AWS service and is not resolving within a few hours. It behaves the same for me on one machine across Edge, Chrome and Firefox yet on another machine on the same network no problem at all.

It depends wildly throughout the day. Sometimes there can be an AWS service that's experiencing issues, causing API's to have slower response times, which in turn cause the console to load slower.

Sometimes it can happen out of the blue, but usually resolves itself within a few hours or less.

  • It's been two days and it still hasn't been fixed for some reason. I should wait more.
