When you send messages to recipients in India, Amazon SNS uses International Long Distance Operator (ILDO) connections to transmit those messages.
The pricing for All Networks - International has recently increased to $0.069 from the previous charge of $0.047.
Hi,
By default, when you send messages to recipients in India, Amazon SNS uses International Long Distance Operator (ILDO) connections to transmit those message. The price for sending messages using ILDO connections is higher than the price for sending messages through local routes.
See https://docs.aws.amazon.com/sns/latest/dg/channels-sms-senderid-india.html for more details.
As a result, you seem to incur higher charges. Please also refer to this question: https://repost.aws/questions/QU68x63rPLQjiEGlQv1h_IFg/sms-charges-via-sns-20x-high-then-actual

Hi Ben,
Thanks for the response.
I understand there will be higher price for ILDO connections, But what I can see price mentioned for international connection is also not matching with price which am charged. I'm referring the price from https://aws.amazon.com/sns/sms-pricing/ . Hope I'm referring right document for procing.
