Fetching the inbox in Workmail is a time-consuming.

I need to access the Workmail inbox programmatically. I am using Python and Exchangelib plugins for accessing it. But when I try to fetch the inbox folder it takes some time to return results around 15sec to 4min. Due to that, the Lambda function throws a timeout error.

Is there any way to fetch inbox mails quickly?
