AWS Instance stuck in shutting-down

I saw a notification in health center about the underlying hardware on my instance with ID i-0a77f69eabd8afba7 so I attempted to terminate it. It has been stuck shutting down for sevearl minutes now. I have tried terminating it again from the web UI as well as the AWS CLI with the --force option but nothing has helped. Any guidance?

This can happen on occasion when the communication into the instance is unsuccessful. Usually it will be forcefully shutdown after about 30 minutes. If you need more immediate assistance, open a ticket with support to have it manually stopped immediately.
