Issues when importing a Data Source in DataZone

0

After creating my DataZone domain I'm trying to import a new Data Source from glue to publish it to the catalog and I'm getting the following error:

Enter image description here

I tried to give permissions to every single DataZone role to in LakeFormation to DESCRIBE the database and SELECT and DESCRIBE any table. Still I'm getting the same error.

Could you help me with this? Thank you in advance.

Is this related to unmanaged asset .

Can you tell me what all steps you did in sequence .

Then i will guide you what to do next or if you missed something

  • Basically I created a DataZone domain and enabled the DefaultDataLake Blueprint, then I uploaded a file in S3, run a Glue Crawler to create a table. Back to the DataZone I tried to create the Data Source (and the steps required such as the environment) and after the creation I've got the error. I tried to give permissions to the Glue table in LakeFormation afterwards but no luck. I also want to highlight that there was a Test data source created by default (meaning I did not create it) that also showed the same error.

  • Thanks I know what you missing . Send me your email .. I need to setup a meeting and help you quickly there are many steps which need to be done as to resolve it

  • Hi Gaurav, could you please summarize the steps here and see if I can manage to fix it on my own first? Thank you.

Have you added S3 location where your data is stored as one of the aws lake formation locations in the producer domain
