My AWS Workmail Email is bouncing external emails

0

Hi so we are using AWS Workmail for our organization's emails.

Strangely, a user from UK complained that his email to my email address on AWS Workmail was bouncing, and gave the following error:

"Each of the following recipients was rejected by a remote mail server. The reasons given by the server are included to help you determine why each recipient was rejected.

Recipient: user@domain.com Reason: 5.7.1 TLS 1.2+ required by recipient"

How do I get around this TLS requirement for users emailing me? Thanks,

Best Regards!

Hi,

On the SES Incoming rule, did you enable "Require TLS"? You can disable that to allow incoming email over non secure connections. (See step 8 of "Creating receipt rule" for more details here).

Kind regards, Robin
