When setting up agent collaboration with a supervisor agent, the collaborator agent must be properly prepared and an alias should be created for it. While adding the collaborator agent, ensure that multi-agent collaboration is enabled and specify the following components: Collaborator agent, Agent alias, Collaborator name, and Collaborator instruction. If any of these components are missing, you may encounter the error "Failed to update agent collaboration settings and secondary agents".
Q1 Does the collaborator alias need to be published (not draft) to be used?
->To utilize a collaborator agent alias in a multi-agent collaboration environment, we have to ensure that the alias is published and not in draft status. Draft status typically indicates that the agent's configuration or capabilities are still being developed or refined. Publishing the alias signifies that it is ready for deployment in collaborative scenarios. Once published, the alias becomes accessible to other agents enabling multi-agent operations.
Q2 Are there restrictions on collaborator names/aliases that could cause this error?
-> There are no restrictions while choosing names but once a name has been assigned to a collaborator agent under a particular supervisor, that same name cannot be reused for another collaborator reporting to the same supervisor.
Q3 Where can I find detailed logs to troubleshoot further?
-> we can check CloudTrail which records all API calls made to Amazon Bedrock, including those initiated by agents and user. This includes operations such as UpdateAgent API which contains parameters like "agentCollaboration" that can help to review the configuration.
Thank you!
