How long for "Currently not allowed to send this e-mail" limitations to be removed?

We were (and still are) experiencing "Currently not allowed to send this e-mail" replies to any sent messages. We located the notification/support case in our "health" dashboard and the case has now been marked as resolved and the limitations removed. However, it has been nearly two hours since then and we still cannot send email. What can we do to send email once again?

Turns out that persistence following up on the original case that contrary to what we'd been told, the limitation was not removed from our account previously but it was fully removed several hours later and our email is operating normally again.
