Does Amazon Personalize automatically incorporate latest item/interaction/user information every 2 hours for all recipes?

I was shown this message on the AWS console:

> New: Amazon Personalize now automatically incorporates latest item information and adjusts the exploration according to implicit feedback from the users (updated every 2 hours)

My undestanding is that only the User-Personalization recipe does this, however, this message seems to say that they've now added it for all recipes. But I am not seeing automatic updates using Personalized-Ranking, for example.

Is this feature coming down the pipes or is it just a poorly phrased message?

Answer

Only User-Personalization, Recommended-For-You, and Top-Picks support exploration. All recipes with exploration are updated every 2 hours, but recipes that don’t have exploration are not affected by impression information.
