As of now, Amazon Connect does not have built-in noise suppression or cancellation capabilities directly comparable to what you might find in Microsoft Teams. While Amazon Connect provides high-quality audio using the OPUS codec, which has some resilience to infrequent packet losses, it does not offer the same level of background noise reduction that you may be familiar with in Teams.
However, there are a few options to consider for noise reduction in the AWS ecosystem:
1. Amazon Voice Focus: This is a noise suppression technology available through the Amazon Chime SDK. While not directly part of Amazon Connect, developers can potentially integrate this into their applications to enhance voice clarity in noisy environments.
2. Audio optimization in Amazon WorkSpaces: For Amazon Connect users utilizing WorkSpaces, there is audio optimization that can improve call quality by processing audio on local desktops.
3. Third-party solutions: AWS suggests considering partner solutions like Krisp for local noise suppression.
It's important to note that these options are not native to Amazon Connect and may require additional integration or setup. If you're experiencing noise issues on your calls, it's recommended to reach out to AWS Support for further assistance and guidance on potential solutions or workarounds.

Another aspect to remember is that the headset can help in noise suppression from the agent back to the caller. Often overlooked, but very important.
