SES Production access request

-1

Good day, How long would it take to approve an SES production access? It's been 5 days and my request has not approved yet. Im about launch my startup. :( If there other issue in other AWS services, is this how long we are going to get stuck in technical issues?

Should I move to azure?

The processing time for Amazon SES Production Access requests can vary significantly. While the expected turnaround time might be around 24 hours, many users have reported waiting several days or even longer than a week for a response. This delay is not uncommon based on experiences shared by other AWS customers.

During this waiting period, the AWS SES team is likely reviewing the details you provided in your request to make a determination. There are several things you can do while waiting:

  1. Continue monitoring both your support case and email inbox for any updates or requests for additional information.

  2. Check if there are any "More information needed" notifications in your case that might require your response.

  3. Consider following up on your case through AWS Support. The chat option can be effective for inquiring about the status of your request.

  4. Ensure you've selected an appropriate severity level for your case, as response times can vary based on this.

If you're a new AWS customer, be aware that AWS often requires users to build trust by using the sandbox environment for a while before granting production access. While waiting for production access, you can continue using the sandbox environment with its limitations to build a positive sending history.

Regarding your question about other AWS services - this specific delay is primarily associated with SES Production Access requests due to their anti-spam and email reputation protection measures. Most other AWS services don't have this type of approval process and are available immediately upon subscription.

Before making a decision to switch cloud providers, consider that each platform has its own approval processes and limitations for certain services. The delay you're experiencing is specific to email sending capabilities, which are typically scrutinized across all providers due to anti-spam measures.

Another question, im already a paying customer, why do I have to pay another large amount just to have my technical issues resolve quickly? Is this supposed to be part of customer service as a paying customer? for normal issues, is it normal to wait for day, weeks or months just to have my issues resolved?
