When will r7g instances be available in eu-central-1a AZ ?

When will r7g instances be available in eu-central-1a AZ? They are already available in eu-central-1b and eu-central-1c, but not yet in eu-central-1a.

Please, do you know if there is a roadmap or at least a time estimate?

We are preparing a migration plan and this information would be quite helpful.

Greetings !

Greetings, r7g is available in all AZs in eu-central-1 region, do you see any errors when trying to launch r7g instances in eu-central-1a AZ?

  • Greetings,

Yes there is an error in AWS Console (Launch instance form), when you try to select r7g instance type in any eu-central-1a subnet: "The selected instance type is not supported in the zone (eu-central-1a). Please selected a different instance type or subnet"

Also, You can check availability with the command line: aws ec2 describe-instance-type-offerings --location-type "availability-zone" --filters Name=location,Values=eu-central-1a --region eu-central-1 | grep r7g | sort
