AWS Account general setup

0

Hi AWS, I have an account which was the part of the AWS Organizations and I think it was created on the fly and I am not sure which email address is associated with it or not. Having said that now I completed the setup for the AWS account and login into the account as IAM user but unfortunately I am not aware if I can still create the root user by login into the account using the email address like the standard procedure for account setup for the first time. So I have two questions if I could summarize this:

  1. Is it possible to find the email address attached with the AWS account?
  2. Is it possible to create the root user?

Hi Arjun,

  1. If you have an account as part of AWS Organizations and have access to the master account, you can view details about member accounts, which include the email addresses. Go to the AWS Organizations dashboard, find the account in question, and there should be an email address associated with that account.

  2. Root user credentials aren't created. Every AWS account is associated with a root user, which is created by default and has full access to all AWS services and resources in the account.
