Amazon Linux is currently stuck at Apache version 2.4.51 which appears to be vulnerable to the following https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2021-44790

Other than manually installing a newer version what is my recourse?

You can use AWS Systems Manager Patch Manager to automate updates.
