SES Email Receiving in AWS GovCloud Availability

Amazon SES does not support email receiving in the AWS GovCloud (US) Regions. According to the available information, email receiving is explicitly not supported in AWS GovCloud (US-West) and AWS GovCloud (US-East).

While Amazon SES itself is available in the AWS GovCloud (US-East) Region (as announced in April 2024), the email receiving functionality is specifically excluded from the GovCloud implementation.

There is no publicly available information about plans to add email receiving functionality to AWS GovCloud Regions in the future. AWS has not published a roadmap or tentative dates for when this feature might be added to the GovCloud Regions.

If email receiving capability is important for your workload in GovCloud, you may want to contact AWS Support for the most current information about future service plans.
