Unfortunately the pitch tag is not supported with Neural voices.
See at the end of the https://docs.aws.amazon.com/polly/latest/dg/supportedtags.html#prosody-tag for the declaration of unavailability.
What you might want to consider is to encode your file and then bring it into a program like Adobe Audition or Audacity to change the pitch.
Wow, thank you so much for the link, and for your useful advice. I still use Audacity, actually, also to combine different voices. I suppose it is the best solution for now. Thank you a lot.
I have tried to use audacity to change pitch, but it's very time-consuming. I look for a certain word or syllable I want to change, then I right-click and highlight that word. Is this how you do it? Is there a shortcut that you know of? Thanks!
