OpenSearch Serverless Dashboards support for vanity URLs/CNAMEs

We are looking to switch our OpenSearch domain over to OpenSearch Serverless and OpenSearch Dashboards. It seems the only option for dashboards is to use the URL provided by OpenSearch serverless. We're not able to CNAME it or place a CloudFront distribution in front of it with dashboards as the Origin.

Is there any way around this or are there plans on the roadmap to add CNAME/Vanity URL support for the built-in OpenSearch Dashboards?

We also tried hosting our own copy of OpenSearch Dashboards from Docker but it seems that the opensource OpenSearch Dashboards does not work against Amazon OpenSearch Serverless.

Is there any advice or guidance here? Thank you!
