Changes in mysql aurora 8.04.0

0

This DB version is available in the console to switch to, but there are no release notes posted for this release on https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/AuroraMySQLReleaseNotes/Welcome.html, at least at the time of writing. What's changed, and where are the notes?

Hi,

Thank you for asking your question.

Amazon Aurora MySQL releases are made available to all AWS Regions over the course of multiple days. Some Regions might temporarily show an engine version that isn't available in a different Region yet. Once all release is completed, we will update the release notes with detailed information. Please periodically check Amazon Aurora MySQL release notes.

I hope this might help.

I could not confirm mysql aurora 8.04.0 compatibility, at least in my AWS account.
Also, there was no word from AWS anywhere yet that they would support a MySQL 8.0.3 compatible version.

  • The latest version that is documented is 3.03.1, however 3.04.0 is already available to upgrade to in many regions such as us-east-1. There is no documentation for this version, however.
