Hi, Are you using RDS for MariaDB or self managed please? In either case depending on the performance requirements and the use case, I suggest looking at elasticache https://d1.awsstatic.com/product-marketing/caching-database-caching-diagram.70a0c9d62877d7a32bf1024d00561eb5b560a45d.PNG and try and make add a distributed caching layer (if your application needs it)
