AWS certification badge got revoked and exam results are under review.

0

Last month on 13th of may I had given my AWS solutions architect exam from Pearson test centre which really went well, after 3 hours I received an email from AWS that they have invalidated my results and bunch of other things I was really confused and contacted their support they said it was invalidated because of forensic analysis anomalies which again I had no idea about they didn't reverse the decision and just provided me a voucher to retake the exam this already had put down my confidence still again I retake the exam on 14th of June and this time exam was cleared, I received badge and everything but now after 11 days suddenly I am getting an email my badge has been revoked and when I went to certification website that particular exam history is also gone and on contacting their support they say "it's under review it might take upto 3 weeks to decide if you have pass/fail/invalidate your results and this has been done by security team", now again they are being vague about it and the response which I have received from them till now is not satisfactory , can anyone here explain to me what's happening here? And why it's happening to me? Please note: both the exams were given from test centres only in a controlled environment, still why this special treatment towards me? Like spending so much time to learn something just to get torture by it later on? Can anyone official from AWS security team look into this matter? Please this can destroy anyone's confidence! I have no clue why and what is happening!

Possible Reasons for Review:

Forensic Analysis Anomalies: AWS uses data forensics to analyze exam results for unusual patterns. These could include statistically unlikely answer streaks or timings. It's important to note that anomalies don't automatically mean cheating, but trigger a review. Security Team Concerns: The security team might be investigating a potential issue at the test center you used, unrelated to your actions.

Steps You Can Take:

**Respond to AWS Support: ** While their initial response may not have been ideal, continue communicating with AWS support. Clearly explain the situation, including that you took both exams in controlled environments.

**Gather Documentation: **If you have any documentation related to the exams, like confirmation emails or receipts, keep them handy.

What to Avoid:

Public Accusations: While venting online might feel good in the moment, avoid publicly accusing AWS or the security team. It's better to maintain a professional tone in your communication.

Additional Resources:

AWS Certification Policies: Review the AWS Certification General Policies, specifically the section on "Non-compliance" which details reasons for exam score invalidation https://aws.amazon.com/certification/policies/ AWS re:Post: The AWS re:Post forum might have threads from others who faced similar situations. You can search for relevant keywords like "exam revoked" https://repost.aws/

Hello DS, thanks for sharing your experience, unfortunately, you have already taken the steps needed by contacting certification center support, and they have told you that the results are under review. People on re:Post will not be able to assist you here, and you should continue to engage with certification support on this matter.
