Claude Opus 4.5 is being billed under AWS Marketplace

0

Claude Opus 4.5 is being billed under AWS Marketplace and is not being offset by my promotional credits. Other Anthropic Bedrock models (Sonnet 4.5, Haiku 4.5, Opus 4.1) are correctly covered.

There is no doc or anything stating this fact. Or is there a billing bug?

Based on the information available, it appears that Claude Opus 4.5 should be billed similarly to other Anthropic models in Amazon Bedrock. The Claude models from Anthropic (including Claude 3.5 Sonnet and Claude 3 Sonnet) are sold through AWS Marketplace and typically appear on invoices as "sold by Anthropic, PBC."

Claude Opus 4.5 is listed as having a product ID (prod-jhuafngbly644) in the Amazon Bedrock documentation, which suggests it is sold through AWS Marketplace like other Anthropic models. It's priced at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens.

The behavior you're describing where Claude Opus 4.5 is not being offset by promotional credits while other Anthropic models (Sonnet 4.5, Haiku 4.5, Opus 4.1) are covered does seem inconsistent. This could potentially be a billing issue since there's no documentation indicating that Claude Opus 4.5 should be treated differently from other Anthropic models in terms of promotional credit eligibility.

Since AWS credits typically cannot be applied to AWS Marketplace purchases, but you mention that other Anthropic models are being covered by your promotional credits, this inconsistency suggests there might indeed be a billing configuration issue specific to Claude Opus 4.5. I would recommend contacting AWS Support directly to investigate this potential billing discrepancy.
