Lambda function left an interface behind that cannot be removed

We are currently in the process of cleaning an old VPC. One subnet could not be deleted because there is still an ENI: Enter image description here

The ENI in question seems to have been created and used by a Lambda function given the description: Enter image description here

The problem is, there are no Lambda functions anymore on this account and VPC! The respective attachment is managed by AWS and cannot be deleted by us: Enter image description here Enter image description here

What can we do to get rid of the whole VPC if there is no service that could be deleted to fix this issue?

Generally the Lambda service will clean up ENIs used by the service in a short period of time. If not, please raise a support case as they can assist here.
