Ubuntu Browsers "This application has not been enabled for your directory"

0

Hi
I've upgraded my PC from Windows 10 to Ubuntu Desktop and, as part of my personal data strategy, removing associations with Google and Microsoft. This includes using alternative browsers, in this case I am using Brave or Firefox but I get the Access Error message with either browser so assume its because I am using Ubuntu and its therefore not browser specific.

Search results returned so-far do not offer the optimal solution for this. The document I found is https://docs.aws.amazon.com/workmail/latest/adminguide/access-rules.html
but no optimal steps jump out as to how to allow Ubuntu and Firefox/Brave and the 2 references it makes to Linux are irrelevant.

Any tips on how to solve this will be most appreciated.

Thanks
Kevin

To confirm, I have now no AWS issues connecting to WorkMail from Ubuntu from Brave or Firefox.
It would seem the problem was local to the new Ubuntu installation (20.04.2). The problem is unrepeatable and now WorkMail is just fine.

Thank you Amazon for getting in touch with me personally - I really appreciate the quality of service here.

Regards

Kevin
