Based on the information provided and common troubleshooting steps for WorkSpaces audio issues, here are some additional solutions you can try:
-
Disconnect from the WorkSpace completely, then unplug the headset and plug it back in. Verify that the headset works on the local computer or tablet. For a USB headset, ensure it shows up as a playback device on the local machine.
-
After confirming the headset works locally, reconnect to the WorkSpace and check if the audio works.
-
Check if there's a Group Policy setting that restricts users' local logon in their WorkSpaces. This can prevent audio-in from working. If such a policy exists, removing it and rebooting the WorkSpace might enable the audio-in feature.
-
Ensure that the WorkSpaces Windows client is updated to the latest version (at least version 4.0.6 or later), as some audio features require recent client versions.
-
If the WorkSpace is using the PCoIP protocol, verify that the appropriate Group Policy administrative templates for PCoIP are installed and configured correctly, especially those related to audio settings.
-
If the issue persists, it may be worth checking if the problem is specific to certain applications within the WorkSpace or if it's a system-wide issue.
-
As a last resort, if none of the above steps resolve the issue, consider contacting the WorkSpaces administrator for further assistance, as there might be underlying configuration or permission issues that need to be addressed at the administrative level.
Remember that audio issues can be complex and may require a combination of these solutions or further investigation by the WorkSpaces support team.

Troubleshooting steps :
- Could you please check if the same headset is working fine in another AWS WorkSpace (test), this would isolate if the issue resides inside the particular WorkSpace.
- I would ask you to please verify if the Client version could be the root cause of this, please confirm if the user is using the latest client version. Was there any client update made recently.
- Additionally, were there any changes made by the user inside the WorkSpace which could have caused this.
- Please reboot the WorkSpace once to isolate any corrupt component causing this.
- Can you please explain if you are using a certain application within which the audio is not coming or in general there is no response in audio.
- Does the headset work in local machine and if the port where it connects is working correctly.
- In case none of these work, I would recommend reaching out to our AWS support team to investigate further deep and extract logs to identify any abnormal behavior.
