Can my RDS instance be upgraded to buy a reserved instance

I currently have db.t2.micro. There are no reserved instances of this type. There are reserved instances of the t3.micro type. If i upgrade to t3.micro, can I take advantage of the savings a reserved instance gives me?

Yes. But the savings will depend of the term (1year, or 3years) and the purchase options (All upfront, partial upfront, or not upfront). You can estimate the saving using the cost estimator of the aws: https://calculator.aws/#/
