Is there a way to rename an Elastic Beanstalk Environment?

0

Hi,

Is there a manual way to rename an EBS environment (other than cloning)?

I have to keep the first successful Elastic Beanstalk environment that I create for a purpose, and usually it is not easily replicable as I add external services manually and configure networking settings.

Once the environment works, I use it, but since they cannot be renamed I have to stick with the current name. (Forget about cloning since it won't work, it won't clone everything I need) Currently my production and test environments are named something like xyz-test4 and xyz-test5

Thanks

Hello,

It's not possible tio change an environment name.

Extract of AWS documentation : Environment information Set the environment's name and domain, and create a description for your environment. Be aware that these environment settings cannot change after the environment is created.

link to documentation : https://docs.aws.amazon.com/elasticbeanstalk/latest/dg/environments-create-wizard.html
