If I use CloudWatch logs with AWS Outposts, are the logs stored on-prem in the Outpost?

The Cloudwatch logs are initially generated on the instances and servers within the Outposts rack, but are spooled and sent to the Region for reporting. So technically for a moment they are local on the Outposts but are then sent out to the Region.
