Hi Nelly,
You will need to upgrade by the end of February 2024, not by the end of December 2023, to not incur Extended Support charges. If you plan to need Extended Support for MySQL 5.7, you will need to opt-in to Extended Support starting in December, 2023. But you would not start incurring charges for Extended Support until the end of life date, so no earlier than March 1, 2024.
Thank you.

Also, how do you opt-in to the Extended Support. It is now December 2023 and I can't see an option to do this.
Hi Jen_F,
Thanks for your help. I understand what you're saying, but I have one question: what will happen to the database in RDS if I keep my current RDS configuration (minor version 5.7.38) after December? Does my RDS still work with version 5.7.38 or do I have to upgrade to the supported minor version 5.7.43?
Thank you,
