Android WorkMail delegate

Hi colleagues,

I have set email sharing through mailbox security in aws Workmail. Shared mailboxes nicely (automatically) appear in desktop Outlook. Path where I added delegate in aws admin console: Amazon WorkMail/Organizations/mydoman/Users/info/Permissions

In the Android it does not work. Outlook for android is supposed to show "Add Shared mailbox", but it does not appeqar ...

Then I tried to delegate in workmail web app also. Path where I delegate in Workmail WebClient: right click/permission/

I even tried to add email account and filled in email address and cerdentials (user@domai and domain\delgate) for delegate ... it did not work.

What is missing to make delegate available in Android MS Outlook?

Hi,

I checked with the service team on this and they believe this feature is restricted to office 365. I checked myself and the option is available when I add a office 365 account but not for a WorkMail account.

    Thanks Robin, is there any other possibility to use delegated mailbox in Android/IOS device except web client. Web client is unfortunately not ergonomic to use at phone small display... Goal is to login as user and have access to delegated / shared mailbox from mobile. Goal is that users share mailbox without sharing password, which they share by SMS, email or other creative ways ...

    Hi,

    Sadly I don't think there is a way to achieve this right now. I did some test to see if I was able to open the mailbox of user A using the credentials of user B who has full access permissions from the console. But it seem the service will open the mailbox of User B. I will forward this as a feature request to the service team.
