Hello.

We assume that you are probably trying to SSH into Lightsail by following the steps in the following document.  
In that case, you will see a black screen after a successful connection.

If a black screen appears, check to see if you can execute Linux commands.  
For example, the following command will show you the contents of the directory you are currently in.  
If the following command is executed and files in the directory, etc. are displayed, the connection has succeeded.

ls -la
```
