Amazon beanstalk deployment suddenly very slow. Any idea why?

0

Recently, we have seen the deployment time required for our Amazon Elastic Beanstalk go from 4 minutes to over 15 minutes. We're on a customized version of the canned Tomcat server (customized to add JDK, where the standard version only has JRE).

The WAR files haven't changed significantly in size (they're all around 82.2M).

Anybody have any idea what could be going wrong?

It turned out to be something we were doing (unnecessarily, as it turns out), that was taking longer because it was suddenly processing more information.
