SSE-C objects can't be replicated.

0

I was trying to replicate some sse-c objects to an s3 bucket in another account but it seems it's not working. According to https://docs.amazonaws.cn/en_us/AmazonS3/latest/userguide/replication-config-for-kms-objects.html, no extra configuration should be needed. Other non sse-c objects are replicating fine. Any insight would be helpful. THANKS!

Hello, Thanks for reaching out. All newly uploaded SSE-C objects will be replicated based on your replication configuration. We recommend using S3 Batch Replication for replication of existing objects. If this still does not answer your question/ resolve the issue, we recommend reaching out to me, or your account manager or AWS support for a deeper dive.

  • I tried uploading new sse-c encrypted objects after setup the replication rule and it's not replicated. We don't need to replicate existing objects.
