Using "Host Memory Access" in Amazon F1 FPGA?

0

Can I use "host memory access" in Amazon F1 instance? Alveo supports such a feature that provides DMA bypass capability used for FPGA to transfer date to the host on a No-DMA platform. Since I have not seen any Amazon document mentioning it, I am wondering if Amazon F1 allows this? If allowed, what are the processes of using this? Thanks!

Hi,

Please take a look at the PCIM interface described in the AWS shell interface. This interface provides a FPGA to instance/host memory access. If DMA engine is completely not used, I would recommend take a further look at the Small Shell, which has the same direct memory interface above but with a much smaller footprint.

Hope this helps.
