Requesting an SSL

I have set up in Route 53 a CNAME for my domain and a CAA to authorize the issuing of certificates. However, when I request a certificate, it fails. Is there a potential problem in having a CNAME that makes the issuing of my certificate fail? Is there any other reason?

Did you create the CNAME records AWS ACM asks you to do so that it can validate your domain?
