Subject: Application Load Balancer Service Not Available in My AWS Account

Message:

Hello AWS Support Team,

I am currently facing an issue where the Application Load Balancer (ALB) service is not available or not functioning properly in my AWS account. When I attempt to create or configure an ALB, the option either doesn’t appear or the service fails to initialize.

I have already verified the following:

My AWS region is correctly selected.

EC2 instances and networking components (VPC, subnets, security groups) are properly configured.

I have the required IAM permissions to create and manage load balancers.

Despite these checks, I am still unable to use the Application Load Balancer service. Could you please review my account and help me enable or troubleshoot the ALB service?

Thank you for your assistance.

Account ID: [770457253782] Region: ************* Service: Elastic Load Balancing (Application Load Balancer)

Best regards, affan

Application Load Balancer (ALB) is part of AWS's Elastic Load Balancing service that operates at the request level (layer 7), routing traffic to targets such as EC2 instances, containers, IP addresses, and Lambda functions based on the content of the request.

Based on your description, there could be several reasons why you're unable to access or create an Application Load Balancer:

  1. Region Verification: While you mentioned Mumbai (ap-south-1), please ensure that ALB is available in this region. Application Load Balancer should be available in all commercial AWS regions.

  2. Console Navigation: Make sure you're navigating to the correct location in the AWS Management Console. ALBs can be created through the EC2 console under the "Load Balancers" section or directly through the Elastic Load Balancing service.

  3. IAM Permissions: Although you mentioned having the required permissions, double-check that your IAM user or role has specific permissions for elasticloadbalancing:* actions. Sometimes permissions might be restricted by resource or condition elements.

  4. Network Requirements: ALB requires at least two subnets in different Availability Zones. Verify that your VPC has subnets in multiple AZs that are properly configured.

  5. Service Quotas: Check if you've reached your service quota for the number of load balancers in your account.

  6. Account Status: Ensure your AWS account is in good standing without any billing or compliance issues that might restrict service access.

If you've verified all these points and still cannot access the ALB service, I recommend contacting AWS Support directly through your AWS Management Console, as they can examine account-specific issues that might be preventing access to the service.
