"Save Changes" button does not work when trying to change root email address

0

I am trying to change the root user email address. I enter the new address, re-enter it in the confirm address, enter the password. I receive and enter the verification code. When I click "Save Changes" the screen doesn't change. When I hit it again, I get an error "bad request / invalid request". I've tried clearing caches, different browsers, incognito.

Have you changed it in the way described in this procedure?
Is the changed email address being used for another AWS account or Amazon.com?
In that case, please create a different e-mail address as it cannot be changed.

  • Thanks for your response. Yes, I followed those steps. Initially, I'd used an email address that's already associated with an account. I did receive an error message telling me that that account was already associated with an account. I then changed to an email address that does not already have an AWS account. I get no message detailing the issue. It just doesn't doesn't react until I hit the button twice and then throws a generic "bad request" error.
