Bandwidth Allowance Confusion

0

Hi, I am confused about how inbound transfer is treated in AWS Lightsail. The FAQ here https://aws.amazon.com/lightsail/faq/ says: "Your plan includes a free data transfer allowance. Both data transfer in and data transfer out of your instance count toward your data transfer allowance..." Does it mean that if my plan's allowance is 2TB and I used up 2TB of transfer, I'll be charged for overage for all outbound transfer from that point on while inbound is still free?

Hello,

Yes, you are correct. Once you reach your quota (which is filled by both outbound and inbound data transfer), you're only charged for excess outbound data transfer.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for using Amazon Lightsail!

Best,
Max
