Amazon RDS Extended Support for Postgres 11

Hi,

Can anybody help me provide the costs per RDS instance for Postgresql 11 Extended support please?

The email we received states the following: "You can find an estimate of the Amazon RDS Extended Support charges for your Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL 11 database instances in the "Affected resources" tab of the AWS Health Dashboard"

There are no Cost estimates in that location.

On the Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL pricing page (https://aws.amazon.com/rds/postgresql/pricing/#Amazon_RDS_Extended_Support_costs) there is a table that can be expanded out. The price increases are per vCPU hour and can differ per region.

    Thanks for the fast response. One of our Postgres 11 instances has Multi-AZ enabled. Do the Extended support charges apply to that too?

Yes, Extended Support charges apply to your Multi-AZ RDS instances as well, and the estimate for those would be extended support cost * vCPUs * running hours * 2 so for example, a db.t3.xlarge multi-AZ instance in the Ireland region that runs 24 hours in a month with 31 days would be calculated as: 0.112 * 4 * 744 * 2 = 666.62
