Terraformで、１からリソースを構築する場合と、tfstateから読み取って修正版を構築する場合のmain.tfの書き方は異なりますか？

Terraformで、１からリソースを構築する場合と、tfstateから読み取って修正版を構築する場合のmain.tfの書き方は異なりますか？また、後者の書き方が知りたいです。

main.tfというよりTerraformの書き方自体は変わらないと思います。
「terraform plan」コマンドを実行して差分が無くなるまでmain.tfのパラメータを更新するといった作業を行う感じになると思います。
