Does AWS Service Connect encrypt in transit

Hello,

I am considering using the new ECS feature Service Connect to do service-to-service communication. However, we have a requirement that all traffic be encrypted end-to-end. Does AWS Service Connect encrypt traffic between two service connect proxies? I am not able to find anything in the documentation stating anything about encryption with service connect.

If end-to-end encryption is required today, you can start with AppMesh (https://docs.aws.amazon.com/app-mesh/latest/userguide/tls.html). End-to-end encryption is on the roadmap for AWS Service Connect.

Hi, Amazon ECS Service Connect actually support end to end encryption, here the announcement https://aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats-new/2024/01/amazon-ecs-service-connect-automatic-traffic-encryption-tls-certificates/
