AWS SES Deliverability Dashboard

0

Hello, We want to use the AWS SES service, in the price description we saw that a fee of $1250 per month is charged for the deliverability panel. We do not need this panel.

  1. Can I opt out? How can we do it?
  2. If we request production access, will we be charged for the deliverability panel?

Hello,

Short answer: yes and no.

Deliverability dashboard for AWS SES is an "Additional service" and not enabled by default. These are the additional services provide by SES:

  • Dedicated IP addresses
  • Bring Your Own IP Addresses (BYOIP)
  • Deliverability Dashboard

You can opt-in or opt-out for these additional services when ever you want.

Basic charge for SES only includes (pricing may vary by regions):

  • Email messages: You pay $0.10 for every 1,000 emails you send or receive.
  • Outgoing data charges: You pay $0.12 per gigabyte (GB) of data in the messages you send. This data includes headers, message content (including text and images), and attachments.
  • Incoming mail chunks: An incoming mail chunk is 256 kilobytes (KB) of incoming data, including headers, message content (text and images), and attachments. When you use Amazon SES to receive email, you pay $0.09 for every 1,000 incoming mail chunks.

You can find more information about SES pricing here: https://aws.amazon.com/ses/pricing/
