Support Case Unassigned for 12 Days - Need Billing Escalation (Case ID: ****************)

-4

Hi AWS Moderators,

I am a new learner preparing for my AWS Solutions Architect Associate (SAA) exam. I created my account on March 27, 2026, and was issued promotional credits. However, on April 2, 2026, just six days later these credits expired prematurely, leaving my account with a $0 balance and causing out-of-pocket charges.

I opened a billing support case 12 days ago, but it remains "Unassigned" in my console. My SAA exam is scheduled at a test center in exactly 3 days. Because my support ticket is stuck and I have no credits, I am completely blocked from hands-on study since months because I cannot risk running services out-of-pocket now I will fail in exam because of this.

Can an AWS moderator please internally escalate my Case ID *************** to the billing team so my expired credits can be restored?

Thank you.

*Edit: Removed case ID — Reece W.

  • AWS Free-Tier and AWS Activate are two totally different things. You should read the documentation better.

Hello.

In recent months, AWS support's "Account and billing" line has been very busy, and I've seen many users taking several days to receive a reply.
Since there is no guarantee that you will receive a response from AWS support, I recommend rescheduling your certification exam.

As stated in the AI automated response section of re:Post Agent, I think it's better to train using Skill Builder.
The following courses are related to the SAA, so I recommend you take a look at them.

  • It seems like I made a mistake, and I should have selected Google Cloud or Azure to invest my three months of learning time. At least they have the proper support infrastructure to handle these issues.

I understand your frustration with waiting for a response on your support case. To add correspondence or check the status of your existing case, please visit the AWS Support Center at https://console.aws.amazon.com/support/. You can add updates there to provide any additional context about your situation.

Regarding promotional credits, these typically have specific terms and conditions including expiration dates that are set when they're issued. The expiration timeline is usually communicated at the time the credits are granted. If you believe there was an error with your credits, continuing to work through your support case is the appropriate path.

In the meantime, AWS offers several ways to prepare for certification exams without incurring costs:

  • AWS Skill Builder provides free digital training courses
  • AWS provides free tier services that allow hands-on practice within certain usage limits
  • Many AWS services have documentation with architecture examples and best practices you can study

I hope your support case receives a response soon and wish you the best with your upcoming exam preparation.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about your account credits issue. I've reviewed your support case.

Apologies for the delay, our cases are handled in the order received and response times vary, depending on our volumes. We're unable to discuss any account-specific info on this platform but I've left an internal note on your case, expressing your urgency. A support agent will respond as soon as possible.
