Cannot access WorkMail web app

0

Hello

When I click on a link to WorkMail's web app: https://MYNAME.awsapps.com/mail, I get redirected to https://MYNAME.awsapps.com/auth/?client_id=XXXXXX&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fwebmail.mail.us-east-1.awsapps.com%2Fworkmail%2F, which never opens. Same with https://MYNAME.awsapps.com - I see a login page, which quickly redirects to something that never loads. Tried in another browser, so it is not cookies. I thought the link missed com at the end of redirecturi, but it does not help.

Any ideas?

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue accessing the Amazon WorkMail web application. There are a few potential reasons for this problem:

  1. Browser compatibility: Ensure you're using a supported and up-to-date web browser such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge. Outdated browsers can sometimes cause issues with the WorkMail web client.

  2. Authentication or account issues: There might be a problem with your account's permissions or the WorkMail service configuration for your organization. It's possible that your access to WorkMail may have been revoked or changed since you last logged in, or there might have been changes to your organization's AWS WorkMail configuration.

  3. Network or connectivity issues: Sometimes, network problems can interfere with the redirection process.

To troubleshoot this issue, you can try the following steps:

  1. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then attempt to access the WorkMail web app again.

  2. Verify that you're using the correct URL for your WorkMail organization. The format should be https://alias.awsapps.com/mail, where "alias" is your organization's specific identifier.

  3. Check with your AWS account administrator or IT department to ensure that your account is still active and properly configured in the directory, and that WorkMail is still enabled for your organization.

  4. If you are the administrator, you may need to check the WorkMail console to ensure the service is properly set up and that your user account has the necessary permissions.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it may be necessary to contact AWS Support for further assistance, as there could be a more complex problem with your WorkMail configuration or account settings.

Strange, but it is something with my internet provider. I can open that page from my phone via mobile internet, but not WiFi.

it may be due to how you are managing the routing in the local network. Check the routing table and visibility of DNS zones.
