Anyone have any updates on AWS Snow service problems?

0

We've had 2 Snowball Edge Storage devices at the "Job created" state since 8/8 with no updates from AWS. I see at least one other customer posted a question about this bizarre extended outage here with no answers.

Does anyone have any information about whether AWS Snow Family devices will ever become available again? Given this experience, I'd have to recommend avoiding using AWS Snow devices in any plans.

Hello,

Beginning August 5, 3:49 PM PDT, AWS Snow service is experiencing service disruption impacting data ingestion and new order fulfillment off all Snow devices. We are continuing to work on addressing the issue. Due to the complexity of the matter, the Snow team requires additional time to complete and verify its mitigation. Once the root cause has been mitigated, the Snow team will share details about the start of the device's shipment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have an urgent need for data migration to AWS that cannot be accommodated within our mitigation timeline, please consider using AWS DataSync as an alternative to AWS Snow.

As per the above update on AWS Snowball Family Console, AWS Snow Family is currently experiencing issues in delivering the devices however the issue is being actively looked into and updates will be made available in due time
