Slow sending rate with Sendy

0

Hi,

Currently, on our Amazon account we have a sending rate defined on 100 email by seconds. We use Sendy and this sending rate is also configured on the Sendy parameters :

Enter image description here

Nevertheless, all our campaign are very slow. We have 70 000 contacts on our mailing list and all the campaign make 6 hours to be send at all our contacts. We don't undestand why it's so slow ? If the sending rate is defined on 100 email by seconds, our campaign must be send (theoretically) in 12 minutes ?

Thank you for your answer.

Hi Jose,

Thank you for your answer. My Amazon account is in production since several weeks and Amazon have already increase my sending rate on 100 email by seconds. I have the default configuration on Sendy. I suppose my newsletters are sending by SMTP ? Is it possible to configure it with API mode ?

  • Thomas,

I believe you should confirm with Sendy support. I'm not aware of how the product works. As far as Amazon SES you should be all set.

Thank you. I hope this helps.

Hi,

My problem with the sending rate is allways still here :( I don't know if this can be a clue for my problem, but I noticed that while sending my campaign, it would stop after X emails had been sent, then start again, then stop again, and so on.

Anybody can have an idea ?

Thank you for your answer.

  • I also encountered this problem, has been sending unsuccessful, how to solve this?

Hi Thomas.

By default, if your Amazon SES account is in sandbox or was just released to production, the default quota would be 1 email per second. You can request a quota increase using the Service Quotas console.

Note that delivery rate between Sendy and Amazon SES will also be affected by how Sendy is sending the emails to SES. If it is via SMTP then it will be much slower than using the API.

I hope this helps.

Hi Jose,

No, as I said in a previous message, my account has been in production mode for several weeks and the send rate is set to 100 emails /seconds.
