Repeated AWS RDS Instance Events and MySQL Restart Issue

0

I'm currently encountering a recurring issue with my AWS RDS instance, and I could use some guidance on understanding and resolving it. Here's a summary of the events and the associated problem:

Events Occurring:

1.DB instance started 2.DB instance restarted 3.DB instance shutdown (repeating) 4.Error restarting MySQL: MySQL process is not running, and the restart attempt failed Current Instance State:

The instance state is reported as "Available" despite the repeated events. This sudden occurrence is causing disruptions, and I'm seeking assistance to identify the root cause and implement a solution. Could you please provide insights into why these events are happening and suggest steps to resolve the issue? I'm particularly concerned about the MySQL restart error and the repeated shutdown events.

Hello, you can refer this link for why did my Amazon RDS DB instance restart, recover or failover.

You can also setup the cloud watch alarms for the RDS MySQL Metrics and try to monitor them.

To get the more details about the event, I would suggest to open a support case using AWS Support Center Console.
