Cloud-watch-agent High CPU usage.

Question

Hi, I'm using runcommand to collect metrics from cloud-watch-agent. And when there is High CPU usage alarm. It only says that CPU usage is high due to cloud-watch-agent.

This is what i set on power-shell-script and Command Parameter.➡
"powershell -Command "get-process | select cpu ,name | Sort-Object -Property cpu -Descending"

What I want to know is what's causing cloud-watch-agent cpu usage so high? I want to know the details of Cloud-Watch-Agent cpu usage.

Since this issue concerns specific resources I would highly recommend to AWS Support directly via the case console so that we are able to investigate the issue with your CloudWatch agent further. However, from a more general perspective, high CPU is generally seen when the agent is pushing/ processing logs and sending them to CloudWatch logs.

If you do open a case on the support console please do upload the CloudWatch Agent configuration which you are using so that we can take a look at it for you and assist further.
